Container Types & Loading
We ship via standard 20ft and 40ft containers, and 40ft High Cube (40HQ) containers for larger or mixed-product orders, where usable capacity runs approximately 76 cbm. Wherever the design allows, we use knock-down (KD/flat-pack) construction — components packed disassembled with hardware included — to reduce wasted space and fit significantly more finished pieces per container than fully-assembled shipping would allow. For buyers combining multiple product lines in a single shipment, we build a mixed-container loading plan around your target product mix before production is finalized, so container utilization is confirmed up front rather than adjusted after the fact.
Wood Preparation Standard
All solid teak used in outdoor furniture is kiln-dried to a controlled moisture content before joinery, reducing the risk of warping, cracking, or joint movement once the piece reaches a different climate. Packaging materials used in crating — pallets, crates, and dunnage — are heat-treated and stamped to ISPM-15, the international standard for wood packaging material required by most destination countries' customs authorities.
Legality & Compliance Documentation
Indonesian teak exports are subject to SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu), the national timber legality verification system. TeakNation is SVLK certified, and every shipment is issued a V-Legal certificate confirming the legal origin of the timber — verifiable against Indonesia's government SILK database and recognized under compliance regimes including the US Lacey Act. For buyers shipping into the EU, we're aware that the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) introduces additional geolocation and traceability requirements beyond SVLK, and we're actively building the due-diligence documentation needed to support EUDR-bound orders — if your shipment falls under this regulation, raise it early in your quote request so we can confirm current documentation status for your timeline.

Furniture shipments are generally classified under HS Chapter 94; we confirm the specific HS code applicable to your product mix at quotation stage so it matches your import declaration.
Shipping Terms & Payment
Our standard export term is FOB Semarang or FOB Surabaya, with CIF and EXW available on request for buyers who prefer we arrange freight or handle collection directly. Production orders are confirmed with a 30% deposit, with the remaining 70% due before the container is loaded. Typical Timeline
From confirmed order to loading, standard production runs approximately 60 days, with quotations typically returned within 2–3 business days of a detailed inquiry. Exact timing depends on order volume, product mix, and whether a pre-production sample is requested.
